Scrabble Door - Whats.New
v3.0c - Sun 10-25-92
- Added significant error checking to try and eliminate the line
noise problem.
- Modified methods for dealing with the DesqView environment.
- Added a Winner's Screen (WinScr.Ans & WinScr.Asc) to the game.
This will only be displayed to the current player if he/she Wins the
current game.
Note: The samples included aren't very elaborate - I primarily wanted
to add them so SYSOPs could create their own designs.
v3.0b - Tue 09-15-1992
- Added the <N>ext command to the Game Board screen.
This option will commit the current player's move and pass the game
to the next player. The current player's new tiles will be displayed
without having to <Q>uit, then return to the same game.
- Major changes in how the game handles Players that have CONCEDED!
Previously, if a player conceded, he was removed completely from the
game and all of his tiles were returned to the pile. This caused
major problems when computing the Final Score.
Now, however, the game keeps the conceded player's tiles in his hand
(these are properly used when computing a Final Score).
Players that have conceded are flagged with a '(C)' in the Game Board
and Status screens.
The field that is used for this option is the same field that previously
held the Player's Vote (to start the game ASAP). Thus, it is possible
that some players may show that they have CONCEDED a game - if upgrading
from a previous version. Simply run the UNCONCED.EXE utility from your
Scrabble directory and the flag will be removed.
